After competing with each other year in and year out for the title of world’s best airport, Qatar beats Singapore and takes the crown in 2024.

Based on reports, Qatar’s Hamad International in Doha has been awarded best airport at the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2024, dethroning 12-time winner, Singapore’s Changi.

“This year HIA celebrates its milestone 10th year of operations and we are truly honored that passengers have voted us Best Airport in the World for a third time”, said Qatar Airways group CEO.

Seoul Incheon won third place, and was also named 2024’s most family-friendly airport. Fourth and fifth place went to Tokyo, for Haneda and Narita.

Hong Kong rose 22 positions and sat at 11th place, while the highest ranked US airport was Seattle-Tacoma at #24.

Paris Charles de Gaulle, Munich, Zurich and Istanbul all maintained their positions in the top 10.
