After an earthquake of 4.8 magnitude in Bali, Indonesia today, 3 are caught in the aftermath and dies.
Based on reports by Harian Metro, the quake which happened 10 kilometers from the northeast of Banjar Wanasari brought significant damage to the area. All 3 victims were killed when their homes collapsed on them, 2 from a regency called Bangli and another, Karangasem.
"The quake lasted for about 5 seconds, and many ran in a panic, leaving their homes behind", said natural disaster spokesperson.
In the past, the country has experienced a couple of major quakes, a 6.2 which killed 100 people on the islands of Sulawesi a year ago, and another three years back which killed 4,300 (magnitude: 7.5).
As of recent, Bali's tourism sector has been reopened in stages, but the quake has been stated to be distant from tourist spots.
