Based on reports, a bulldozer driver was slashed to death with a machete on 25 Aug at 9pm.
The assault occurred in front of a barber shop at Taman Rim Baru, and the attackers chased the victim, as he attempted to reach Jasin Hospital for medical treatment.
The district police incharge noted that the victim tried to call his 22yo brother for help after the assault.
While the victim was being transported to the hospital in the ambulance, his brothers car following behind, another car intercepted their path, and the attackers smashed the brothers car windows and brought forth a machete.
In an attempt to escape, the brother’s vehicle collided with the ambulance and the car got badly damaged.
They ambulance continued on to the hospital afterward, while the brother headed to the police station to file a report and seek help.
The victim was unfortunately pronounced dead by 10.15pm while receiving treatment, and four men (aged 21, 22, 24 and 31) were arrested.
The motive behind the attack as well as other suspects to the case are still being investigated.
