As of recent, the world witnessed the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
During the service, as the congregation paid homage to the king, Prince Harry was also seen, along with the other royals around him, speaking the words "God save King Charles. Long live King Charles. May the king live for ever."
Meghan Markle (Princess), was absent from the coronation, which was held for the world to see on May 6 2023.
That aside, we thought it'd be fun to highlight some lesser known truths (?) about the crown, we bet many don't know about, i.e. the royal scepter.
1. The stone on the scepter called 'The Great Star of Africa' is worth $400 million
2. It weighs over 3,100 carats and was then cut into 9 major stones, 96 smaller ones and a 500 carat one which was placed on the royal scepter
3. The diamonds were stolen from South Africa, where the British rain concentration camps and propped up the apartheid regime
4. The British also stole the Kohinoor Diamond besides this, alongside £45 trillion between 1735-1938
