Global art and entertainment magazine Time Out just ranked Petaling Street the sixth coolest street in the world. Time Out's list of the World's Coolest Streets features must-see avenues, boulevards, plazas, and streets in cities all around the world. Locals congregate here since they know they'll have a fantastic time.
Editors and writers for the journal nominated the greatest streets in their cities, taking into account factors like food, drink, fun, art, culture, nightlife, and the sense of community that each one evokes.
Due to its distinctive fusion of modern hangouts and cultural legacy, Petaling Street was chosen as a popular tourist attraction by both locals and tourists.
"Petaling Street may be one of the city's oldest streets, but it is experiencing a renaissance, with the juxtaposition of Kuala Lumpur's oldest temples rubbing shoulders with the newest drinking and dining spots.
"There's modern Malaysian cuisine made with seasonal, locally sourced produce at Chocha Foodstore, natural wines from around the world at Small Shifting Space, and the city's best street food and souvenirs at the Chinatown stalls in the heart of Petaling Street," the magazine disclosed.
