Two policemen were arrested on suspicion of extorting money from foreigners in an incident at Jalan Taming Sari near Kajang. A video went viral on social media showing two police officers believed to have stopped a car driven by a foreigner while on patrol and extorted a sum of money from a man.
Selangor Police Chief, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, said the arrest was made after the police examined a viral video showing two officers on duty at the Kajang District Police Headquarters believed to be extorting money from a man.

He said, both are now remanded until tomorrow for investigation according to Section 384 of the Penal Code.
"The Selangor contingent police will not protect any senior officer, nor junior officer who is found to be involved in criminal offences. The investigation will be carried out fully according to the crime committed without compromise," he said in a statement today.
