People with green fingers really are gems for beautifying the world with blooms, and this 80-year-old man is one of them.
For Uncle Andrew, he takes pride in being a “sidewalk gardener”, a passion project that started after retiring.
He explained that gardening was a way to keep himself occupied, and began growing numerous plants around his house. Eventually as the space ran out, he then worked his magic hands onto the sidewalk as it was vacant and strewn with rubbish.
Uncle Andrew has been maintaining the pathway for 12 years now, which houses lavender-colored blooms nicknamed the “Lavendrew Garden”.
Speaking in a video about his pride and joy, the garden is located along Jalan Sungai Jernih 8/1 (Petaling Jaya), and is quickly garnering a crowd favorite who called it inspiring and wholesome.
Here’s to many more joyful years to Uncle Andrew and his blooms, thank you for your generosity!
