Good news to everyone! The government is soon to distributes face masks to each household, said the Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Senior Minister said that the Civil Defence Force is sending out about 24.6 million face masks at the moment to the state-levels National Security Council offices and will later on sending face masks to disaster management committees at the district level so that it would be distributed to the people.
According to the Senior Minister, 4 masks will be given to each household nationwide. He added that the mask is only meant for those with COVID-19 symptoms as per the suggestion of the Health Ministry.
"Frontliners will be tasked to distribute the masks from home to home," he said on April 8.
The said face masks will be flown in by the Royal Malaysian Air Force and will be distributed to Labuan, Sabah, and Sarawak on April 10.
