Am I socially anxious? 

Social anxiety disorder, as people undergo intense emotional anxiety about social situations. The less likely they will expose themselves to social situation as they find it difficult to talk about their embarrassment, nervous and fear in social interaction.

Occasionally you get nervous in social situations, which don’t mean you have a social phobia. In these circumstances, people feel depression and does not interfere with their normal routine, for example when walking into a room full of strangers, going out on a date or giving a speech.

Individual have an especially hard time to talk comfortably in public, meetings, and group discussions. The fear may keep them away from being the center of attention. Social problem was often a feeling that you’re socially awkward all the time, in groups and in front of people in fear you’ll say something wrong. You are worried about being judged by others in social situations.     

2. Fighting battles inside your head

In the past, if you wanted to start a conversation, you’d have to plan a whole conversation and what to say. This is happening so often while ordering food, you may look fine but deep down rehearse your order 20 times so you don’t mess up. As a result, you are about to use apps to order food to mostly avoid speaking to other people.

3. Struggling with call

It always happens for an unnecessary amount of anxiety when someone is given a call, or when you have to make a call. There you are, an indecisive battle to start a conversation. You typically text and email without making calls. In severe social anxiety case, the person may develop other physical conditions, such as sweaty and a blind mind. 

4. Panic attacks when you’re in new environment

When it comes to being introverted, you look uncomfortable in a new environment, like a self-conscious individual. Also, you may find this situation extremely difficult to get to know new people as you attempt to deal with small talk. End up you just prefer looking at your phone to avoid eye contact, instead. Meting up with new people in fear of awkward silence or running out of things to say probably the worst thing you even face.  

5. Find yourself stumbling with talkative Grab driver

Have you ever deal with but a talkative driver? Some people attempt to have a lower built-in need to socialize, and small talk makes them too distracted. They often wish to have a quiet driver for silence rides or listen to music. In the past they may push themselves to socialize with drivers, however this situation can make some people feel uneasy.  

According to the study, more than a third of people report symptoms for 10 or more years before seeking help. You are encouraged to seek treatment early if you have underlying visible symptoms like rapid heartbeat, avoiding eye contact, excessive sweating, and trembling.
