Typically, as the new year approaches, the police implement roadblocks in specific areas where many motorcyclists tend to showcase their skills on the wide and less congested roads. A recent incident mirrors this practice, as a motorcyclist crashed into a roadside stall that had tables outside with customers in Port Klang to evade police apprehension.
Before entering the area, a police officer attempted to kick the motorcyclist, but he successfully escaped. As of the writing of this article, there are no specific reports about the incident at the restaurant.
According to TV3 Bulletin, several motorcyclists were observed engaging in altercations at traffic signal intersections, participating in illegal races, riding against traffic, and endangering other road users.
Shortly after, they were surrounded by the police force and unable to escape. In a South Klang Police Facebook post, three suspects driving recklessly and dangerously have been apprehended. Additionally, a total of 303 summonses were issued, and 86 motorcycles were seized in the Special New Year's Eve Operation 2024.
