What was he even thinking?! Endangering others with his recklessness!

The action of a Perodua Myvi driving against traffic on Kilometer 2.6 of the Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) here resulted in an accident involving five vehicles, recently. In the video, passengers in the Mitsubishi Triton were visibly distressed and alarmed, while the driver and another passenger could be heard reassuring everyone to stay calm, urging them not to be afraid and to be brave. Meanwhile, the driver struggled to open the car doors, which were jammed.

The South Johor Bahru District Police had said the incident occurred at 12:30 am when a four-wheel-drive Mitsubishi Triton, driven by a 40-year-old local man with three passengers, failed to avoid the involved Myvi. The Myvi, driven by a local man in his 20s, was in the right lane against the traffic flow.

During the collision, the four-wheel-drive overturned in the middle of the road, causing three other vehicles, Honda City, Toyota Vios, and Audi A3, coming from the same direction, unable to avoid and collided with the overturned vehicle and the Myvi in the middle of the road.

As a result of this collision, the Myvi driver suffered severe injuries and is still receiving treatment in the yellow zone at Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA). It was stated that the drivers and passengers of the other vehicles only suffered minor injuries, and the case is being investigated under Section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
