Men’s Fishing Trip In Mersing Forest Nearly Turns Deadly Following Close Encounter With A Tiger

For fishing enthusiasts Nazrie Iskandar and his friend, their recent close encounter with a tiger will forever be etched in memory.

The terrifying incident was shared on Nazrie’s TikTok account, where he recounted standing just a few metres away from the tiger while fishing in Felda Nitar 1, Mersing.

Nazrie’s friend was first to sight the tiger’s presence as he had turned back to retrieve a bag.

Just as the two men stood frozen, Nazrie calmly instructed his friend to remain still in order to avoid getting attacked, while also reciting prayers for protection.

Fortunately for them, the tiger only took off with the bag.

The ordeal, however, had left them shaken.

Following the narrow escape, the men were later seen sitting atop a tree branch to ensure the tiger was no longer in the area, before deciding to call off their fishing trip for good.
