Temple Destroyed In Fire On Lunar New Year's First Day; No Victims Reported

A temple was completely destroyed in a fire on the first day of the Lunar New Year in an incident that took place near Sekolah Kebangsaan Bahang at Jalan Baru.


The fire department received an alert about the blaze at 5.19 am. Upon arrival, firefighters found the temple engulfed in flames. Despite their efforts, the building could not be saved.

"A report was received regarding a fire involving a temple, which was completely burned down," the local fire department stated.


Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire using one hose reel, drawing water from the fire engine. The operation was successfully concluded at 6.08 am after ensuring there were no remaining risks.


Fortunately, no victims were reported in the incident. Authorities are expected to conduct further investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
