BYD's premium sub-brand, Denza, has officially introduced the D9 electric MPV in Malaysia, marking its entry into the high-end EV market. Designed for luxury and performance, the Denza D9 comes in two variants the Advanced and the Premium. While both share a 103.6kWh battery with AC and DC fast charging capabilities, the Advanced model features front-wheel drive, whereas the Premium boasts an all-wheel-drive system for enhanced stability.
Luxury is at the heart of the D9, with both versions offering premium features such as a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a wireless phone charger, and even a built-in fridge. A panoramic sunroof adds to the opulent experience, making every journey a delight.
Performance-wise, the Advanced model accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 9.5 seconds with a range of 600km per charge, while the Premium model is quicker at 6.9 seconds but offers a slightly lower range of 580km. Safety remains a priority, with features like traction and stability control included as standard. The Premium version goes a step further with additional technologies, including a driver fatigue detection system and cross-traffic alerts.
Now available in Malaysia, the Denza D9 starts at RM259,000 for the Advanced variant, while the Premium model is priced at RM309,000. With cross-border warranty services extending to Singapore and Thailand, Denza aims to provide a seamless ownership experience across the region.
