A Twitter user who is believed to be a staff of Hospital Sultan Ismail, JB, has shared a video of him using a computer with the Windows 2000 operating system.
He commented that the computer in the hospital is too outdated as it is using a 23-year-old operating system and it is possibly why the hospital is always in long queues because of the slow response of the computer.
He added that a computer technician reminded him to not put the hand sanitiser too close to the computer to avoid any unwanted incidents.
"I couldn't help but want to tell them 'this never happened, even if it wasn't spilt on this computer, this computer would still start like a turtle..."
"If I open more than 5 tabs on Google, it's completely unresponsive. Yeah, what to expect if you only have 2GB..."
Another user responded to the post by sharing the computer he is using in his hospital, which is in the Windows XP operating system.
Windows 2000 was discontinued in 2003 and in 2010, the system is no longer eligible for regular support nor able to update its security feature for free.
The CEO of the Galen Centre for Health & Social Policy, Azrul Mohd Khalib retweeted this while pointing out the issue, hoping that the government would look into the matter and take possible steps to improve.
