ICYMI: Congrats! Penang & Langkawi Are Among Asia's Top 10 Islands In The World
Recently, a TikTok user recounted his story of encountering someone at a Ramadan bazaar who was passing out little fliers advertising gambling and illicit money lending services, referred to locals as "Ah Long."
When user @ezzuchang saw the man distributing the pamphlets, he allegedly confronted him and warned him against doing so.
"However, he persisted in being stubborn and kept giving them to the stall proprietors. Therefore, I created a video to encourage the authorities to take action," he wrote in his post.
The man was observed walking away from the scene when Ezzu Chang, another market trader, went up to him again.
"A lot of Malays are having financial difficulties right now. I do, however, hope they will not stoop to these baits. Once you're caught in one, life gets much harder. Let's continue to be alert," he advised.
Internet users praised his behaviour in the comment section.
As said by @ikjmbwp: "I appreciate what you've done. May Allah bless you for your generosity."
Furthermore, user @paihrazli reported that he had experienced a similar situation at a different local Ramadan bazaar.
