I believe that there are good people out there. Good people who look past your skin colour, your religion, and your status.
Every year, we look forward to having a community that is open and that is willing to accept everyone as their equal.

But those are just dreams that we can only expect to happen in our heads.
Yes, not everyone is mean. Not everyone is nasty.
But together as a force, we can push such behaviours out and expect changes in society. That choice is in our hands.
The Thaipusam celebration is about being respectful and believing in traditions and the aspect of having our fellow compatriots saying nasty things about Indians is pretty disappointing.
Sometimes, it feels like instead of taking two steps forward, we are going backwards like all the way. Indians are still Malaysians, they deserve equality and to be treated the same. Who gives others the right to treat them in such haste?
Whether it's about the Thaipusam celebration or even the recent A.R Rahman concert incident it's embarrassing as well as insulting. If only there was a way.
I mean, it's already 2023. Can we stop being racist already?
It's exhausting to be witnessing such incidents when we've only stepped into the second month of the year.
Can we just be nice and get along with one another? Or is that too hard?
I can't stress this enough: you can love your race, but please respect others as well.
