The suffering of a teenage girl who became a victim of her biological father's lust for a year came to an end after the suspect was arrested at her home in the district, recently.
The arrest of the suspect, who is a 42-year-old lorry driver, was made at 7pm last Thursday.
South Klang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Shamsul Amar Ramli said the rape incident was revealed when the suspect had a fight with his wife and blurted out that he had slept with his only child aged 15 years.
He said the victim's mother then brought her daughter to lodge a police report and the suspect was arrested the same day.
"Based on the report, the incident happened at 1 am on January 1 with the suspect entering the victim's room and raping her.
"Further investigation found that the teenage girl was raped throughout 2020 until January this year," he said when contacted by Kosmo! today.
He added that the victim had been threatened not to report the sexual crime or the suspect would kill her mother.
According to Shamsul Amar, this caused the victim to feel scared and keep quiet while she continued to be the victim of rape by her own biological father.
"A quick background check found that the suspect has a previous record related to intimidation and is now remanded for seven days.
"The case is being investigated according to Section 376 (B) of the Penal Code," he explained.
