Sarawak Minister's Says There Is Nothing Wrong With Visiting Others' House Of Worship

According to a recent statement made by Sarawak's Minister, there is nothing wrong with visiting houses of worship of other faiths.

Doing so would not diminish your faith as a Muslim or cause you to convert if you were to visit a church or temple.

He was addressing the recent criticism of Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports, for her participation in the "Jom Ziarah Gereja" programme.

The majority of residents in Sarawak, including himself, have attended missionary schools, thus this would not be an issue there.

Hannah Yeoh has good intentions and is probably attempting to boost Malaysians' tolerance and openness towards one another.

"Don't tell me the Muslims are so low in their faith that they will become Christians just by taking them to church," he said.
