Travelling at night can be quite challenging, especially on poorly lit roads. Addressing this concern, the Hulu Langat District Public Works Department (JKR) has taken a significant step by introducing the first-of-its-kind glow-in-the-dark road markings in Semenyih, Selangor.

Captivating images shared by Muhd Azran Malek showcase the luminous markings on Jalan Sg Lalang B19 and Jalan Sg Tekali B16, designed to illuminate as vehicles pass by. JKR Hulu Langat clarified that the application of this glow-in-the-dark paint is part of a pilot project aimed at bringing innovation to road engineering.

A comparison video and photos highlighting the contrast between the old and new road markings underscore the positive impact of these luminous markings.

Many Malaysians express their satisfaction with this innovative solution, anticipating improved safety, especially during inclement weather and nighttime conditions. Some even inquire about the possibility of implementing such road markings in Sabah for similar safety concerns.

The question now is, who's eager to experience these newly marked roads?
