Craving oden? We all know that the first place we go to when we want some of the steamy hot oden is Family Mart. There's just something about their fishballs and fishcakes combined with the thick and hot soup that gets you going and keeps you coming back for more.
So if you are already drooling after reading the first paragraph, then I know you are a Family Mart fan. And, if you are a Family Mart fan then you must be familiar with the striking green, blue and white colours lighting up its signboard that differentiates it from other basic marts.
However, recently, we have come to find out that there are actually Family Marts with black and white signboards all over Cameron Highlands after a Twitter user posted the following tweet:
In the Twitter user's tweet, she cutely captioned it saying that she found a Family Mart that has no ink. According to her, there was another B&W Family Mart also in Cameron Highlands near the Tanah Rata area.
After the tweet went viral, many netizens gave their opinion and come crazy theories as to why this specific Family Mart has no colour. Here are some of their theories:
However, some Twitter users with actual knowledge about it came forward to explain the real reason why the Family Mart sign is B&W and the real reason is so BEAUTIFUL.
According to @aqilahbaik, Family Mart has this policy where in places where the beauty of nature is the star, Family Mart will opt for the black and white sign as to not steal the glory of nature. The black and white sign is a way of blending into the background and letting the beauty in the surroundings to shine!
Her claims were backed by another tweet that even talks about the philosophy behind it and it is so beautiful. Apparently, the B&W signboard is part of Family Mart's policy. They assume that the green of their signboard must not stand out more than the greenery of nature.
Isn't that such a heartwarming reason?! My heart just feels like it's going to explode!
As of now, we are yet to receive confirmation from Family Mart about the reason behind the B&W signboard. But, it is so aesthetic that I think Family Mart at Cameron Highlands is going to be a tourist attraction!
