In a recent incident in Jalan Gaya, Kota Kinabalu, a female bank employee fell victim to a robbery in the early morning hours. The assailant, armed with a wooden stick, attacked the 50-year-old woman, causing injuries to her head and body. The robber successfully snatched her handbag, resulting in a loss of belongings estimated at around RM5,000.
The incident occurred last Friday (16th) at approximately 6:30 am as the victim was walking to work in a back alley behind the bank. Surveillance footage revealed that the victim was violently assaulted and knocked to the ground by the robber. Despite attempting to resist and escape, she collided with a wall and was dragged by the assailant on the street. Although she held onto her handbag tightly, her strength was no match for the perpetrator, ultimately leading to the successful theft. The strap of the handbag was also torn off during the struggle.
