Yes, we can’t wait to enjoy movies at a cinema again, but maintaining a safe distance between ourselves and others - which is a difficult task in a cinema hall - is important to prevent further spread of COVID-19. So, without a method to ensure the safety of movie-goers, it is quite impossible to reopen the cinemas.
BUT!!! Don’t worry: TGV has come up with an SOP that all of its cinemas will follow should they are allowed to reopen in July. Isn’t this a good news to all who miss watching movies on the big screen?
According to CEO of TGV Cinemas, Yeoh Oon Lai, the safety measures include a Social Distance Seating for both couple and single seats in the cinema halls. There will be at least a one-meter distance between all the movie-goers. This means, they will have buffer zones at the front, back and both sides of their seats.
However, distancing plan for customers who come in group more than two is still in progress.

For TGV Cinemas, the expectation is to screen Hollywood’s blockbuster “Tenet” and Disney’s Mulan if they were to reopen in July, but it depends on whether the COVID-19 could be under control.
Anyway, if the local cinemas did reopen in July, will you feel safe to watch movies there? Let us know!
