Remote work has become commonplace, allowing individuals to use their laptops at home or in comfortable locations. While it's unusual to see someone working on an LRT train all day, influencer @ivor_xianz recently showcased this experience in a TikTok video.
The influencer, well-prepared with a portable table, embarked on the LRT journey without specifying the station. Thankfully, the train had few passengers, and she found a seat without inconveniencing anyone.
Initially enjoying the air-conditioned space and changing scenery, she jokingly referred to fellow passengers as her "co-workers."However, regret set in as hours passed, leading to neck strain from prolonged sitting.
Unable to eat on the train, she disembarked at Dang Wangi station for lunch at a nearby restaurant. Afterwards, she returned to the LRT station to resume work but faced challenges with worsening neck pain and the impracticality of working during crowded rush hours.
The entire experience cost her less than RM5 (excluding lunch). The TikTok post went viral, sparking admiration and concern from netizens. Some praised her dedication, while others criticised her for occupying three seats with her bag and table. She clarified that she doesn't recommend it unless you have a durable laptop battery and a neck brace.
Would you work on the train?
