SPM results were recently released, and a hot-topic discussion has been up and about: Do not take science courses after SPM as it's harder to land a job upon graduating. 

Many netizens have used Twitter to discuss how graduates who majored in Science subjects now face the issue of landing jobs. 

Based on one tweet, Malaysia is a technological country and thus applied sciences like engineering, medicine, data analytics, and computer sciences should be courses SPM graduates should focus on pursuing. 

Core science courses like Mathematics, Astrophysics, Aerospace, Chemistry, Biology, Geology and R&D have very little future in the country. 

As of present time, the employment of Malaysians stand at:

Engineering - 15%

Medical - 15%

Finance - 20%

Admin - 20%

IT - 15%

Pure Science - 5%
