The Sarawak disaster management committee has decided to allow barbershops and hair salons in the state to reopen from June 9.
According to the Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah, the barbershops and hair salons could only provide haircutting services and no massage or facials.

He said that the details of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reopening of barbershops and hair salons are yet to be provided.
He added that owners of the barbershops and hair salons have to ensure there is minimum contact between them and their customers and they need to be alert about their health.
