Two students from a local school in Muar, Perak were arrested by the police for bullying a junior so badly that he suffered from a few swollen ribs.
Muar District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Zaharudin Rasip said both the 16-year-old suspects were arrested in Johor Bahru and Kuala Sungai Baru, Melaka respectively.
"Our investigation found that the incident happened on December 9th at a secondary school in the district, resulting in injuries to the victim and he had to receive treatment at the hospital.
"A few senior students from the same school were dissatisfied with the attitude of the victim and his friends, causing him to be beaten up," he said in a statement today. Five other suspects believed to have assisted in the bullying are currently on remand for three days under Section 147 of the Penal Code.
