Just because you've paid for a service and it doesn't meet your expectations, does that automatically entitle you to demand a refund? It's a thought-provoking question, isn't it?
However, in the case of a 28-year-old Malaysian man, he took a disturbing turn when he attacked a sex worker he had hired due to dissatisfaction with her services, insisting on a refund.
This Malaysian, employed as a packer in a pharmaceutical company in Singapore, had utilized an online platform to search for such services, ultimately stumbling upon the victim's profile.
It's reported that the victim offered sexual services for RM444 ($130) per session, prompting him to arrange a meeting at her place that same night.
Upon meeting, he paid her the agreed-upon amount, but after the initial encounter, he requested a second round and paid her the same sum again.
That said, he faced difficulties during the second round and sought assistance from the victim.
He claimed that during that time, she had applied excessive force, causing him pain.
Furthermore, he was upset when the victim labelled him 'troublesome' during their time together.
As a result, he demanded a full refund, expressing dissatisfaction with the service, and resorted to violence, striking the woman with a metal water bottle while demanding the return of his money when she said no.
After leaving with his money, the victim contacted a friend and filed a police report. She was left with a swollen shoulder and persistent head pain following the assault.
Currently, the man faces a potential sentence of up to three years in jail, a fine, or both.
