The body of a missing 10-year-old Orang Asli girl, Nuraina Humaira Roali, was found in a swampy area in Kampung Bersah, Pos Kuala Mu.
Nuraina was discovered lying unconscious around 4.20pm on Saturday, approximately 50 to 100 meters from the last house in her village.
Nuraina was last seen around 3pm on Friday, heading to a nearby shop alone to buy chicken.
When the shop ran out of chicken, she returned home empty-handed.
Her uncle went to another shop, while Nuraina stayed to play at a local playground, where she was last seen.
Superintendent Mohd Khaizam Ahmad Shahabudin, Sungai Siput District Police Chief, stated that there were no signs of physicala injuries or wild animal attacks on the body.
The case is classified as a sudden death pending further investigation.
