A group of armed criminals is currently at large following a daring robbery at a bungalow in Pandamaran, Klang, in the early hours of Thursday. The gang made off with RM600,000 worth of cash, religious statues, and jewellery after violently storming the three-story residence.
According to ACP Cha Hoong Fong, the South Klang District Police Chief, the robbery occurred around 5 a.m. when 10 to 12 masked suspects arrived at the scene in two cars, a Toyota Vios and a Honda Civic. Armed with machetes, the group climbed over the bungalows fence, broke into the property, and restrained the residents while ransacking the rooms in search of valuables.
During the robbery, a 37-year-old male victim was injured, suffering a slash wound to his left shoulder. He was promptly treated at Hospital Pantai, Klang, where he received four stitches.
The police are currently conducting an active investigation into the case and are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in locating the criminals. Anyone with details is urged to contact their nearest police station immediately. The case is being investigated under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code, which covers gang robbery and armed robbery.
