A funny yet touching story has emerged about an 8-year-old boy who stole his mother's gold bracelet and gave it as a gift to his female classmate.

The boy's mother was surprised to receive a bracelet from his teacher after school. Upon realizing that it was the gold bracelet her husband gifted her which was worth RMB 10,000 (approximately RM6,000), she confronted her son right away.

The cheeky boy, however, proudly declared that he wanted to give the best to his crush, and didn't see anything wrong with his actions.


The story quickly went viral on Chinese social media, with netizens praising the boy's romantic gesture and sense of generosity.

Many commented that they wished more adults would follow the boy's lead and give their loved ones the best they could. 


Some even joked that mothers should start hiding their jewellery to prevent their sons from giving them away!
