In honor of this year's 67th National Day, several Klang Valley bus services and rapid KL trains will run nonstop.
Mohd Azharuddin Mat Sah, president and group chief executive officer of Prasarana, announced in a statement, that all rail services, such as Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Monorail, and Light Rail Transit (LRT), as well as the Sunway Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and specific bus routes, will operate from 6 a.m. on August 30 to 11.30 p.m. on August 31.
He stated that the 24-hour service is being provided for the first time as a part of Prasarana's attempt to assist the government in planning National Day celebrations.
Services were extended for a maximum of 24 hours in prior years.
The 2024 National Day parade will be hosted in Putrajaya this year!
In addition, Rapid KL will offer up to 60 free shuttle buses from Putrajaya Sentral MRT station to Dataran Putrajaya between 6 p.m. on August 30 and 3 p.m. on August 31 in order to support the Putrajaya festivities.
On August 31, nine buses will also be available from the Putrajaya Sentral MRT station to other Putrajaya attractions, such as the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, Marina Putrajaya, Alamanda Shopping Centre, and the Botanical Gardens, for the duration of the day.
In order to guarantee a flawless event on the day, Prasarana will also work alongside the police, for traffic control.
