Recipe Sharing | How to Make Korean Fried Chicken in 15 Minutes
Are you a fried chicken lover? If yes, then you should try Korean fried chicken too! Here's a quick recipe that you can make Korean fried chicken in 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
1. Boneless Chicken Thighs:500-600g
2. Fried Chicken Powder:1.5 cups
3. Minced Garlic:0.5 tablespoon
4. Water:1.5 cups
5. Salt:1 teaspoon
6. Black Pepper
Sauce:
1. Sugar:4 tablespoons
2. Ketchup:5 tablespoons
3. Minced Garlic:1 tablespoon
4. Starch Syrup:4 tablespoons
5. Chili Pepper Flakes:1 tablespoon
6. Soy Sauce(Jin Ganjang):2 tablespoons
7. Korean Chili Paste (Gochujang):1 tablespoon
Steps:
1. Cut the boneless chicken into small sizes.
2. Add some black pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt and 0.5 tablespoons of minced garlic to season the chicken.
3. Put it into the microwave for around 30 to 60 seconds.
4. Use powder and water to prepare the batter in a 1:1 ratio.
5. Dip the chicken into the batter.
6. Spread the frying chicken powder into a container.
7. Put the chicken on the powder and make sure they do not stick together.
8. Add some powder on the chicken and shake it.
9. Try to put some batter into the heated oil. You can start to put the chicken into the oil if the batter floats after 3 seconds.
10. Deep fry around 7 minutes or when the chicken becomes golden brown.
11. Boil the sauce prepared earlier. Put the chicken into it.
12. Ready to serve!
Notes:
1. You may use chicken with bones but need to make cuts in the chicken and double fry with medium-high heat.
2. You may replace the starch syrup with corn syrup or more sugar.
3. You don't have to reduce the heat if you use more than 500g of chicken.
