LinkedIn is literally the 'Facebook' for all job hunters. If you want to land a job in a big company, you need to have at least a decent LinkedIn profile for a start.

Lucky for you- Hari Srinivasan, the head of Identity Products at LinkedIn exposed some secrets to level up your profile and get discovered soon.
1- Your profile picture doesn't have to be formal
Yup, don't have to worry about your photo. Just an informal one will do. A solid color background works best!
2- Create your vanity URL
After creating your profile, you'll receive a default URL with jumbled numbers & letters. Now, personalize that URL by inserting your name like this: https://uk.linkedin.com/in/harisrinivasan. Your profile will rank higher on Google.
To customize your URL: Go to Settings > Manage public profile > Click on Customise your public profile URL on the right-hand side
3- Include keywords everywhere
Keywords are terms related to your ideal job. Make sure to add those keywords into your headline, summary, specialties, job title, career history & personal interests.
4- Publish long-form posts
This is something people don't do at all. Like I've mentioned, this platform is like another 'Facebook'. Your profile will only get attention if you share lengthy insights. Write a blog post for LinkedIn about your niche & link it to your personal profile.
5- Don't write too much or too little
Follow these ideal character limits for each field.
Profile name: 20-40 characters
Profile headline: 120 characters
Summary: 2,000 characters
Recommendations: 3,000 characters
Website URL: 256 characters
So, check whether your LinkedIn profile is optimized to the max & go get your dream job now!
