A monkey in Malaysia has discovered a way to stay cool as the intense heat continues to make waves throughout Southeast Asia.
A video that was uploaded to TikTok on April 6 shows a monkey idly cooling off in a water-filled tub.
On the social networking platform, the video has received over 1.1 million views as of April 8.

What took place
A shadowy person could be seen swimming in circles while submerged in the water in the 10-second video. Then the creature – a monkey, it turns out – emerges from the tub and reveals itself by blinking innocently at the camera.
With a chain around its neck, it appears to be someone's pet.
Responses
The activities of the monkey struck a chord with many of the TikTok viewers.
"He is aware of the heat," a user said.
Others expressed similar sentiments to the monkey over the intense heat and expressed hopes that the primate had recovered from its bath.
Some claimed that when the monkey was first submerged in the water, they mistakenly believed it to be a fish or stingray.
