As of late #AllEyesOnRafah has been trending on social platforms, from Israel’s violence over Palestine.
Influencer Ceddy took it upon himself to explain what the movement is about. So let’s get woke.
The Gaza Strip’s map starts with North Gaza, followed by Gaza, Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis and finally Rafah.
Palestinians who were in the North were asked to evacuated, as soon as Israel attacked. However, as they moved, the attacks seemed to be moving along with them. So Palestinians (or what was left of them) kept evacuating.
Israel then instructed Palestinians to go to Rafah, as Rafah was regarded as the ‘safe zone’. However, as predicted, attacks reached Rafah as well.
As of today, there is no where they can go. In Rafah, food is limited, hospitals are overwhelmed, and resources are not sufficient.
This has resulted in many around the world still insisting on a ceasefire with the #AllEyesOnRafah. It is saying that the world is watching and we are paying attention to what is happening in Rafah.
Ceddy’s important question: If people can do this to other people, with no repercussions, what’s to say it won’t happen to you one day?
