2025 is the year of the snake, and predictions say it’s about to be a good year!
The new year we will welcome the Year of the Wood Snake, it is also known as the Year of the Green Snake. This is because wood is associated with the colour green.
Isn’t snake a symbol of evil?
It is true that in some traditions, the snake is evil and treachery. For instance, in the Christian Bible, it represents the devil and temptation.
But in the Chinese culture, the snake is wisdom and agility.
Wood stands for growth, flexibility and tolerance.
It also nurtures the element of fire, which represents vitality and change.
So, what’s the prediction 2025?
The year ahead is said to be one with much dynamic change.
It is also a year of double spring. One as the year starts (Feb 3, 2025), and one as the year closes (Feb 16, 2026).
In Chinese tradition, spring means new life and fresh starts. Besides that, two is also considered lucky—the Chinese proverb, ‘good things comes in pairs’.
So, it’ll hopefully be a year for good fortune and marriage too! (for those considering)
