There has been new progress in the case of Ye Xinyuan's murder. The police have arrested three suspects involved in the case - Ye Xinyuan's boyfriend, brother and father. Both brothers denied sexually assaulting Ye Xinyuan and said that Ye Xinyuan died after drinking "juice" containing drugs!
According to Sin Chew Daily, the police revealed that Ye Xinyuan had a party with the two brothers at her boyfriend's home in Bandar Mahkota Cheras on December 19.
During the period, they drank "juice" containing drugs together. Unfortunately, Ye Xinyuan seemed to have overdosed and was found dead at about 2:30 am the next day. When the two brothers were questioned by the police, they insisted that Ye Xinyuan died because of an overdose of drug "juice".
After Ye Xinyuan's body was found, the police arrested her boyfriend (16 years old, a bartender), her brother (20 years old, unemployed) and their father (51 years old, a laborer) on the morning of December 30. The two brothers revealed that they abandoned the body without their father's knowledge.
According to the testimony of Ye Xinyuan's boyfriend, after they found Ye Xinyuan dead, they panicked and wrapped the body with a sheet, then drove their father's Persona car and dumped the body in the Langat River not far from their home.
All this had to wait for the forensic test report to come out to confirm their confessions. However, Ye Xinyuan's body was already highly decomposed, which brought great difficulties to the forensic autopsy.
When the police searched the boyfriend's home, they found Ye Xinyuan's lion dance long-sleeved shirt, mobile phone and other items. The two brothers claimed that they also drank the "juice", but more than 10 days have passed and the toxins in their bodies have subsided, so it is impossible to confirm this through urine tests. As for the "juice", the boyfriend said he got it from the bar where he worked.
