A 28-year-old woman survived a terrifying car crash with minor injuries after her vehicle crashed and burst into flames along Jalan Lenggong-Gerik near Kampung Baru Air Kala on Monday morning (Jan 6).
According to the Perak Fire and Rescue Department, the incident occurred at approximately 8:30 am. Assistant Director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad reported that the woman, who sustained some burns, was promptly transported to a nearby clinic via ambulance for medical attention.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the woman lost control of her vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and crash.
"She managed to escape the car before our team arrived," said Sabarodzi in a statement.
The vehicle was completely engulfed in flames by the time firefighters reached the scene. The fire was successfully extinguished, and the operation concluded at 9:20 am.
While the car was destroyed, the victim's quick escape likely prevented more severe injuries.
