A newborn with her umbilical cord still intact was found partially stuffed among a bunch of clothes in a laundry basket nearby a restaurant in Taman Mutiara, Batu Berendam, Malacca, just this morning.
According to the Melaka Tengah Deputy Chief of Police Superintendent Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz, his department was informed of the incident from the public at around 7.15 AM. His team then rushed to the location and confirmed the incident. The newborn in question was sent to the Melaka General Hospital by an ambulance for further treatment.
