What an emotional tournament it has been so far!

Malaysian badminton duo, Lai Shevon Jemie and Goh Soon Huat were facing the Thailand badminton team, consisting of Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai during today's Badminton Open 2022's match; one that was very highly anticipated by fans worldwide.

Despite suffering from food poisoning, which forced Goh Soon Huat into a vomiting fit, he simply refused to retreat and soldiered on until the very last minute. His unwavering determination paid off in the end when they won against Thailand with scores of 18-21, 21-7, 20-22.

But that's not the only heartwarming thing that happened during the match. Upon victory, the two Malaysian players, overcame emotions, instantly bawled, and fell to the floor; completely in awe of what just happened. Thailand players then walked across the court and congratulated the overwhelmed Soon Huat and Lai Shevon, giving them both a few pats on the back.
