In a recent and disturbing incident, a 16-year-old woman from neighbouring Indonesia suffered severe burns inflicted by her husband. This traumatic event unfolded, leaving the young woman with burns on her face, chest, neck, arms, ears, and left thigh.
According to a local police officer, the conflict erupted when the victim was accused of having an affair with another man, prompting her to seek refuge at her friend's residence. Subsequently, the husband followed his wife to her friend's house, leading to a heated confrontation behind the building.
In a fit of anger, the husband instructed his wife's friend's child to purchase a bottle of petrol, which he then used to fill half of his motorcycle's tank. Acting without hesitation, he entered the house and poured the remaining petrol onto the victim's body. As a chilling parting gesture, he hurled a cigarette butt at the victim, igniting a fire.
The victim promptly rushed to the restroom to douse herself with water. Authorities further revealed that this couple had kept their marriage a secret and had a child together. They had been separated for a week, with the victim seeking shelter at her friend's house for several days.
