Having retired from full-time television in 2014, Gurmit Singh has recently resurfaced in Malaysia, making a splash with a new TikTok video. In the video, a local TikToker named danieldiskl meets the iconic actor at a food stall in Kuala Lumpur.
During their encounter, the TikToker asks Gurmit which nasi lemak he prefers Malaysian or Singaporean. Without a moments hesitation, the actor declares his preference for Malaysian nasi lemak.
"Which nasi lemak do you prefer, Malaysia or Singapore?"
"Malaysia, you can see theres no hesitation (in my answer)," the Singaporean actor confidently replies.
Gurmit is seen ordering various side dishes such as bergedil and fried chicken, just like a local. His ease in eating with his hands also drew attention, endearing him further to netizens.
