Bored At Home? | Productive Activities To Do During MCO

When every Malaysian has planned out what to do outdoor after April 1, the Malaysian Prime Minister announced another 14 days to the Movement Control Order (MCO), leaving everyone heartbroken as they have to stay indoors and be bored for another two weeks.

Well, why not grab on to this opportunity to actually do some productive activities that you seldom have the time for? This extension is like a second chance for y'all who wasted the first 14 days.

So here's a list of activities that you should try out during the second phase of MCO:

1. Exercise

I've been hearing people commenting on how they are going to exercise if going outside isn't an option. Well, stop giving excuses! There is plenty of exercises that you could do without stepping outside. Grab a yoga map and start your workout indoors! If you don't have a yoga map, try searching on YouTube for Tabata exercise, Zumba dance, Combat workout, etc. These are some workouts that you could do at home!

2. Read

I believe that each of you has experienced the impulse of buying a novel whenever you are in a book store but end up did not finish the novel or never even touched it after you brought it home. So why not read it during this MCO? You have lots of time to kill and who knows? You might come across some interesting content and regret not reading the book earlier.

3. Movies Or Dramas

All students or employees, this one is for y'all! I know that most of y'all are busy with works, assignments, meeting deadlines, etc, and have no time to sit down and watch a movie or dramas, so this is the time where you don't have to stay up late just to have some time to watch your movie or your favorite Oppa! There are so many meaningful movies that you should explore within these 14 days.

4. Spend time with your family and pet

Remember your life before MCO? Sleep, work, eat, repeat.

How long has it been for you to sit down and actually talk to your family? How long has it been for you to actually spend some quality time with your family and pet? Now that you have the time, and most importantly, you can't leave your house, so why not talk to your family and play with your pet?

5. Redecorate your room

Your room is your personal space. How you decorate it shows your personality, believe it or not. So spend some time going through your room, what are the things that you should get rid of? Try to search for some ideas online to redecorate your room, I'm sure that staying in your room would be your new hobby if you love the design of it.

There you have it. Complete one task each day, and by that, I am sure that the MCO will end without you noticing with all these activities distracting you!
