Have you ever been appreciated by your boss for your hard work, dedication, or loyalty, maybe even rewarded with something significant, like a new car or a down payment for one? It's a relatable feeling for many of us.
Well, here's a heartwarming story from a Malaysian boss who owns a modest kuey teow stall and decided to surprise his employee with a generous gesture.
The boss, Ezzu Chang, recently took to social media to share a viral video of how he expressed his gratitude towards his staff member, Yaya, for her relentless dedication since she joined his team in February.
Yaya had been commuting to work on a bicycle, and seeing her commitment, Ezzu wanted to reward her with something special.
He took her to a car showroom and contributed RM4k as a down payment towards a car. Yaya will manage the monthly payments, and Ezzu plans to support her in this process.
Ezzu clarified that Yaya is actually his younger sister, but that didn't solely influence his decision to reward her. He believes in recognizing hardworking employees and intends to continue this initiative for other staff members as well.
According to Ezzu, he would gladly support any good employee in a similar manner. He values his female employees, including Yaya, and finds them to be strong and dedicated workers.
Thanks to his staff's efforts, Ezzu expanded his business beyond selling kuey teow, now offering products like sambal and paste, with plans to release and sell kicap in the future.
Ezzu's journey as an entrepreneur began when he returned from Australia and started his kuey teow stall in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
Later, he relocated the business to Ipoh, Perak, to be closer to his mother. Initially facing challenges in the new location, his business picked up momentum after a positive review from a YouTuber and active promotion on social media.
