A passenger on train in Thailand was found dead on 30th March and was later tested positive for Covid 19 on 1st April.
The man was 57-year-old and had just returned from Pakistan. He was travelling to the southern province of Thailand, Narathiwat, from Bangkok. Before he board the train on Monday, he was seen "coughing and vomiting."
He collapsed during the journey and his body was found in front of a bathroom. Other passengers were evacuated from the carriage, and the carriage was disconnected from the rest of the train.
The carriage was then disinfected and the other passengers who were seated in his carriage were being tracked down by the Thailand health authorities.
The actual date of the man arriving in Thailand is still unclear. However, he was carrying a health certificate issued by a doctor in Pakistan claiming that he did not have Covid-19 and he is fit to fly. The certificate was dated on March 26.
There are now over 1,800 number of infections in Thailand and 15 deaths were reported as of 2nd April, according to Worldometers.
