Yes, you've seen it right. Sony will be making their own internet router!
I believe most of us have seen the "Plash Speed" router installation video by Jangbbijju, which is actually an advertisement meant for the launch of PS4 Pro last year.

So-net, a company under Sony, had released an internet service called NURO Optical.
Recently, they had also released NGD-G1000T, which is the first fiber optic router fully produced by Sony.
Ironically, it does look a lot like PS4.

It is a router product that Sony had brought back to the market after many years.
According to the source, the network connection has a download speed up to 4800 Mbit/s (5GHz band) and 1150 Mbit/s (2.4 GHz band).
It also supports Wi-Fi 6 connections and Bluetooth connection.
Currently, this router is used together with "NURO fiber" and still has no plans to sell them separately. Plus, it is also available in Japan ONLY for now.
