It’s been 84 years…
On 2018, avid readers of author Kevin Kwan’s bestselling ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ novel squealed in delight upon the release of its anticipated movie adaptation.
The movie was a hit in the box office, with many pushing for the sequel. Alas, after eight years, the glimmer of hope is slowly dying down.
That is, until, Max announced that a TV series is finally in the works. According to the streaming giant, not just one, but all three of Kwan’s novels will be adapted.
As for the direction and writing, both the 2018 feature’s director and writer -Jon M. Chu and Adele Lim- will reportedly be involved. However, it’s still unknown whether the original cast members will reprise their roles.
Expectations aside, the thrilling news will hopefully be enough to revive fans’ hopes worldwide, considering how impactful the novels and 2018 movie adaptation were.
