We Malaysians cannot stress how frustrated we are that we still can’t watch the famous Simu Liu in Shang Chi, the most anticipated MCU movie after Avengers: Endgame. 

We need some Simu Liu! 

Instead of watching it illegally (we’re watching you, don’t do illegal stuff!), just wait patiently and feed your hunger for a little Simu Liu by watching these other movies and TV shows he starred in.

1. Kim’s Convenience

Before Shang Chi, Simu Liu was Jung Kim, the eldest child of shop owners Appa and Umma, who works at a car rental company. 

2. Taken: Season 1

In this series, Simu Liu play a more serious role on this spin-off of Liam Neeson’s Taken. He has a recurring role of a member of the CIA team that assists lead character on his many rescue missions.

3. The Expanse: “Dandelion Sky” (Season 3 Episode 10)

Simu Liu was a guest star in Season 3 of this highly acclaimed sci-fi drama. He plays Lieutenant Paolo Mayer, a Martian Marine stationed on the MCRN Xuesen.

4. Fresh Off The Boat: “Under The Taipei Sun”

Since Simu Liu also has a talent for comedy, he did a great job playing a noodle vendor in Taipei named Willie. Fresh Off The Boat is a popular Asian American family sitcom.

5. Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens: “Grandma & Chill”

This is a comedy central web-series where Simu Liu shows off his body in slo-mo and in normal speed. He plays a muscular “Garbage Boy” in a flashback K-Drama-style story that centres on a love triangle involving the main character’s grandmother.
