Cheese on pani puri?!
It's undeniable that Malaysians looove cheese on their meals. The more "leleh" it is, the better! Some may say it's the very quality that defines Malaysian street food whether you enjoy it or not.
In the latest cheese craze news, a user on Twitter pointed out that one seller has started selling cheesy-fied pani puri on GrabFood, labelled" Cheesy Wedges Pani Puri". Naturally, Malaysians rushed to express their thoughts on the modified Indian snack.

"Please keep the original taste of pani puri," says one commenter. Others have trouble accepting it. Now, the question is, does cheesy pani puri exist outside of Malaysia or is it just a Malaysian thing?
A quick search on Google proved that it is not an unprecedented culinary invention. Turns out, it's a common street food in India too! They also have a westernized version of pani puri called Pizza Puri which is, yes, you guessed it: pani puri with pizza toppings.
